Training
Camp
2006
July
2006 marked the first Qingdao training camp for Master Kai Uwe Pel and
the Shanghai Luo Guang Yu School of Qi Xing Tang Lang Quan.
The week long camp
which focused on two more advanced Qi Xing Tang Lang Quan forms drew
students from America, Hong Kong, Germany, England and New Zealand.
Everyone took the welcome opportunity of escaping Shanghais humidity
with some great beach training sessions, and a cool dip to polish it
off. During their stay the class visited the Qingdao office of
Scanlogistics, who are long time supporters of the LGY school of Qi
Xing Tang Lang and who sponsored the trip to Qingdao.
The group also made the journey to Hua Yan Temple on mount Lao visiting
both the grave site and statue of the Mantis system founder, Wang Lang.
Students with Chinese language ability took the opportunity to
translate some of the writings around the temple relating to Wang Lang
and TLQ for personal interest.
The trip was hugely enjoyed by all that attended, with some great
information provided by Master Kai, as well as some fantastic Qingdao
food and famous drink sampled.
We wish to thank Master Kai for his teaching and organization, making
it a memorable trip for all.
